Titus Home *
The primary service to the young women we serve is housing.  As a Titus Home family you will provide the love and support a young pregnant greatly needs as she plans for her child's future.  By providing a supportive Christian home, you have the opportunity to show grace to a young woman who may not have any place to call home during her pregnancy. 

During the young woman's stay with you, she will attend Grace's Place Counseling & Training Center weekly for counseling, mentoring and life-skill education.  She may also work or continue her education while in our program.

Our Titus Home families are married Christian couples who exhibit stability in their relationships and spirituality.  On-going, extensive training is provided.

Earn While You Learn Counselor *
The EWYL Counselor has responsibility for facilitating 1-hour sessions with the client(s) covering pregnancy, newborn care & parenting.  Each session includes: viewing a video with the client, reviewing a Q&A worksheet after the video and assigning homework.  Earn While You Learn is a fully-developed curriculum requiring very little preparation. A weekly or monthly commitment required.

Life-Skills Counselor *

The Earn While You Learn curriculum includes a package for life-skills education.  The modules include: Abstinence, Money Management, Making a Home, & The Bare Necessities (car shopping, insurance, recipes, menu-planning.)  This counselor will facilitate 1-hour sessions which include viewing a video and reviewing a Q&A worksheet and assigning homework.  The lessons can be tailored & expanded as the Counselor desires.  This position requires a weekly or monthly commitment.

Bible Study Facilitator *

The Bible Study Facilitator is responsible for introducing our clients to the BASICS of Christianity. Utilizing a turn-key curriculum, this volunteer will cover topics such as:  What is the Bible?, How did we get the Bible?, A 3-part dash through the Bible, and a more in-depth look at the Gospel of  John.  This position requires a weekly commitment of approximately 1-hour.

Big Sister *

The Big Sister is a women who wants to come and fellowship with our clients at Grace’s Place and spend quality time in relaxed conversation...in other words, just “hangin’ out.”  Board games, puzzles & supervising computer time are all job requirements!  This position requires little regular commitment.

Support Group Facilitators & Hostesses *

We are interested in starting support groups for the following groups of people:  single pregnant young women, parents of pregnant teens, boyfriends/birthfathers.  If this is an area of interest, please speak with Rhonda.

*The above volunteer positions require completion of the Equipped to Serve training offered by Grace Initiatives.
 

Phone Operators, Office Helpers & Mail Stuffers

There is a real need for people who are willing to do general office work such as typing, copying, stuffing newsletters, preparing information packets, etc.  Office help will be responsible to answer phones and perform light office duties (mail/data entry.)  No specific experience is required.  A regular weekly/monthly commitment is requested.

Craft/Art Volunteers

This position s for those who enjoy hands-on experiences!  If you have a passion for a certain art or craft, you can share it with the young women in our program.  We have a small budget for crafts and the women really do enjoy spending time just doing fun things with their hands.

Prayer Group

Coordinator & Monthly Prayer Calendar Designer & Calendar Stuffer Monthly

Prayer is essential to the health and success of this ministry!  We are on the frontlines in the war against abortion and the break down of the family structure we know that God originally put into place.  If you have the gift of intercessory prayer, we need you on this team!  As a prayer team member, you will be kept up to date on the immediate prayer needs (as well as praises for answered prayers) of the ministry on a regular basis.

Transportation

Drivers for Brick, Toms River, Little Egg Harbor

Transportation is a very important aspect of our ministry, as the young women continually need to go to doctor appointments, church events, catch a bus, or whatever.  If you could donate some time to drive a young woman where she needs to go, this is for you!  It is a great opportunity to get to know the young women without a large time commitment.

Church Ambassador

Inform your church body/leadership about Grace Initiatives.  This is an opportunity for individuals who are already active in their church (or who are looking for a way to be) to represent Grace Initiatives within their congregation.  Event announcements and arranging speaking opportunities for Grace Initiatives’ staff are a small example of what an Ambassador can do.
